James Grieger is the Director, Customer Solutions - Health Systems for syncreon, a supply chain engineering and integrated logistics management company. He most recently served as the President and CEO of H3Logistics, a logistics firm that has been incorporated into the syncreon company. Prior to that Grieger was a Vice President of Third-party Logistics for Owens & Minor, (NYSE: OMI) a Fortune 500 distributor of medical and surgical supplies to over 3,000 hospitals and the U.S. Department of Defense, where he was responsible for developing and growing the company's third-party logistics services business for the Healthcare industry.
Before joining Owens & Minor in late 2002, Grieger served NorthAmerican Logistics, the 3PL division of North American Van Lines and Allied Worldwide, as the Vice President and General Manager of non-asset based transportation solutions. He also served as Vice President, Global Strategic Marketing for NorthAmerican Logistics, where he was responsible for strategy, brand management, and integrated marketing communications.
Prior to NorthAmerican Logistics, he was the Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Development for GeoLogistics Network Solutions, the High-tech division of GeoLogistics. During his twenty-five year logistics career, Grieger developed a number of innovative supply chain strategies for 3PLs as well as manufacturers and distributors, in industries as diverse as Automotive, Computer and High-tech, Office Equipment, Healthcare, Grocery Retailing, Chemical and Plastics.
Grieger attended the University of Kansas and Eastern Illinois University where he received his degree in Finance and Economics. He is a member of the Council of Logistics Management; Warehouse Education and Research Council; the Supply-chain Council; and is Past President of the Illinois Manufacturers' TransportationAssociation.
